If it is the first time you are purchasing glasses on otticaruggiero.shop, we suggest the following practical rule to establish the correct size for you.
01. 01. Get a credit card
This is the approximate width of a Standard Size lens.
02. Stand in front of the mirror
In front of the mirror or a webcam, place one end of the credit card in the center of your nose
03. Where does the other end end?
What do the numbers I find on the frame of my glasses represent?
The measurements are not identical between different models, each model has its own wearability.
Most glasses have a size indication printed on the inside frame on the left. It is usually made up of three numbers (sometimes only the first two are shown), like this: 50 20 150. If you already own glasses and want to know what the numbers printed on the inside of the temples mean:
Lenses
Lens width is the first number in the sequence (50-20-150) and indicates the diameter of the lens, measured from the bridge.
Bridge
The width of the bridge is the second number in the sequence (50-20-150). The usual widths are 12-26 millimeters. The bridge size indicates the distance between the lenses above the nose, as shown in the figure below.
Stems
The third number in the sequence (not present in all models) indicates the length of the temple, it is the measurement in millimeters of the “arms” of the frame.
